Graptoveria ‘Avocadocreme’ is a medium-sized to small hybrid with a strong, upright stem that branches slightly. The plant forms single rosettes with thick, egg-shaped leaves. The upper side of the leaves is flat or slightly concave, the underside slightly curved. The leaf tips are pointed and show a range of colors from green to grey-blue. The tips tend to turn red. In its optimum state, the rosette appears compact and enveloping, with fleshy leaves that turn reddish at the tips and show occasional reddish spots. The flowering period is between late spring and early summer. This is when the plant forms scorpion-shaped inflorescences with bell-shaped, orange-red flowers. Care and growth of Graptoveria 'Avocadocreme' Graptoveria 'Avocadocreme' is robust and relatively easy to care for. During the growth phases in spring and fall, it should receive as much sunlight as possible - this keeps the foliage compact and thick-fleshed. If there is a lack of light, the plant tends to wither and the leaves become thinner and greener. When watering, the following method is recommended: “water when the substrate is about 70-80% dry”. Permanently dry substrate should be avoided. During the rainy season, avoid waterlogging to prevent rotting. In summer, the plant needs protection from intense midday sun, good ventilation and reduced watering. Waterlogging, high humidity and water in the heart of the plant should be avoided at all costs.an airy, well-drained substrate is suitable for the soil, e.g. a mixture of peat or coconut fiber and mineral aggregate. A high proportion of mineral components is recommended and propagation is easy by leaf or head cuttings, ideally in spring or fall.
