Echeveria 'Yeon-Deung' is a succulent plant from the Crassulaceae family and belongs to the genus Echeveria. It is part of the Agavoides group of succulents. It is believed that its parent plant is Echeveria 'Gwanghangu' or a similar variety. The breeder of this plant is ZUSUN from South Korea. Compared to other Agavoides varieties, the leaves of Echeveria 'Yeon-Deung' are narrower, and the rosette appears more compact and tightly formed. The name “Yeon-Deung” likely comes from the Korean Lotus Lantern Festival of the same name. The plant forms a single, rosette-shaped structure with elongated-elliptical, rather narrow leaves that gradually taper to a pointed tip. The leaf colour is a delicate green to bluish-grey, with the tips and edges potentially taking on a reddish hue. Under good growing conditions, this red tint becomes more pronounced along the edges, and the compact form is further accentuated. Care: Echeveria 'Yeon-Deung' prefers a cool climate with plenty of sunlight. It does not tolerate stuffy, humid conditions. During summer, ensure adequate shading, ventilation, and controlled watering. In the rainy season, some protection from rain is recommended, though not necessarily from the sun. During the rest of the year, it can be grown in full sun and watered generously. A loose, well-draining substrate is suitable, such as a mix of peat or coconut fibre combined with mineral components. A higher proportion of coarse particles is desirable. Further care instructions can be found by referring to general guidelines for other succulents in the Agavoides group. Handcrafted and painted planter made of breathable and water-absorbing clay, fired at high temperature for long-lasting colour.
