Pachyphytum werdermannii is a succulent plant in the Crassulaceae family, genus Pachyphytum. It is native to Tamaulipas, Mexico, where it grows on steep slopes at elevations of 600 to 700 meters. Compared to other "beauties" found at altitudes of 1000 or even 2000 meters, this species is easier to sustain through the summer in southern climates. While high altitudes often bring cool and dry conditions, the climate at lower elevations is more similar to that of equally broad plains—therefore, this plant is not particularly sensitive to warmer weather or higher humidity. The pale yellow leaves resemble small bananas and look so appetizing that you almost want to eat them. However, Pachyphytum werdermannii is prone to legginess (excessive longitudinal growth). Therefore, even during the growing season, when it requires a lot of water, it should be watered carefully. It is important to turn the pot regularly so that the plant receives even light.
