Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky' is an unusual succulent that forms rosettes of tubular, uniquely coloured leaves that curl, creating a trumpet-like appearance. The rosettes can reach up to 25 cm in diameter. The leaves are blue-green and turn pink at the tips when exposed to full sun or extreme heat. The reddish-orange flowers appear in spring on curved stalks. Due to a mutation, this plant displays abnormal growth in various parts, including the flowers, flower stalks, and inflorescences. **Care for Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'** **Light:** *Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'* prefers full sun to partial shade. If moved outdoors in spring, it should be gradually acclimated. Intense afternoon sun can cause sunburn. In winter, place the plant near the brightest window, as it may stretch if light is insufficient. **Soil:** This succulent requires well-draining soil. While many growers create their own mix, commercial succulent soil also works well. **Temperature:** As a tender succulent, this plant must be brought indoors in winter to survive. *Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'* can tolerate temperatures down to -1.1 °C (30 °F). **Watering:** Water moderately from spring to autumn. The “soak and dry” method is the best watering technique. If saucers are used, remove excess water promptly. In winter, water only enough to prevent the plant from shrivelling. **Fertilising:** *Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'* grows well without fertiliser but may benefit from additional nutrients. In spring, a slow-release or liquid fertiliser can be used, diluted to 2–4 times weaker than recommended and applied less frequently. **Repotting:** Repotting is only necessary when required, ideally in spring or early summer during active growth. The soil should be dry before repotting. **Propagation:** Since it rarely produces offsets, *Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'* is usually propagated via leaf cuttings. Spring is the best time to collect leaves. **Toxicity of Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'** No toxic effects are known for *Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky'*. It is safe for pets and humans, though it should not be consumed.
