Echeveria 'Straw Queen' is a charming hybrid of Echeveria Elegance Alba and Echeveria Agavoides. This succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria in the Crassulaceae family and is characterised by elegant, rosette-shaped growth and delicate colour gradients. Thanks to its variable appearance – which can differ from plant to plant and throughout the seasons – it is especially popular among collectors and lovers of unique succulents. The rosettes are made up of fleshy, ovate, tightly arranged leaves with a slightly powdery surface. The leaf colour ranges from soft green to pastel yellow and pinkish hues. Particularly striking is the delicate reddish edge, which becomes more pronounced with optimal sun exposure. In ideal condition, the leaves appear waxy or even have a subtle, jelly-like translucence. Care instructions: Light: In spring and autumn, the plant prefers full sun or bright, indirect light. In summer, it should be protected from intense midday sun and kept well-ventilated. Watering: Use the "soak and dry" method. During summer and winter, water sparingly and ensure that no waterlogging occurs. Soil: Use a well-draining substrate with a high proportion of mineral components (such as pumice, perlite, or akadama) to prevent root rot. Temperature: 'Straw Queen' tolerates mild cold but should be protected from temperatures below 0°C. Overwintering: In regions with mild winters, it can remain outdoors. Otherwise, a bright, frost-free spot is ideal. This hybrid requires a bit more attention in care but rewards with extraordinary beauty – especially when maintained in good condition. Handcrafted and painted planter made from breathable and water-absorbing clay, fired at high temperature for long-lasting colour.
